A Life of Kindness

Katie was the kind of person who made everyone feel seen, welcomed, and loved. As a special education teacher, she poured her heart into her students celebrating every small victory, including every child, and believing fiercely in their worth. As my friend, she was my biggest cheerleader. No matter what I was doing, Katie was there with words of encouragement, pride, and love.

She embraced life with kindness and inclusion, always lifting others up. She celebrated my photography and supported me not just as an artist, but as a parent especially as I raised my LGBTQ+ children. Her compassion ran deep and touched everyone she met.

​

Our friendship was a beautiful chapter in my life—one filled with laughter, and fun memories. I carry her with me, always.

 

To honor Katie’s memory, I’m donating 10% of every session and wedding to causes that reflect her heart. To keep the giving personal and meaningful, every client can choose the cause - continuing the kindness that Katie shared so freely.

• National Kidney Foundation – Supporting kidney health through research, advocacy, and education, and raising awareness for organ donation.

• The Trevor Project – A leading organization providing crisis support, advocacy, and resources for LGBTQ+ youth.

• Wheelchairs 4 Kids – A nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of children with physical disabilities by providing wheelchairs, home and vehicle modifications as well as other assistive equipment at no charge to the families.​
